Larger Ministry With Churches United Colleen Ford-Dunker is helping sort clothes in the basement of Churches United. Our turn will be on the 4th Saturday mornings, 10:00-12:00, working on the organization of donated clothing, etc. and just being there so that people can “shop." Short Term Summer Mission Trips... Reformed Episcopal Short Term Summer Mission Trips for 2007 are organizing now. There will be three trips: to Germany, to Nigeria, and to Paraguay. The Germany trip is from Aug. 3-24 (ages 17-30) at a Christian camp. Est. cost: $1600.00. The trip to Nigeria will be July 2-19. Ages 15 and older. You will go to serve the Igbo people in Eastern Nigeria under Bishop Alfred Nwaizuzu. The cathedral church needs some repairs: painting, flooring and tiling, and constructing pews. Everybody can join one of the evangelism teams. Music is a major part of the worship. The Ven. Dr. Paul Ekezie will lead this group. Est. cost: $2,000. The Rev. Paul Howden will lead the trip to Paraguay Aug. 3-28. Ages 18 and older. Estimated cost: $1,200. They will build in a remote location of the Paraguayan Chaco called Para Todai. |
